An important time to engage with, learn, and deepen our understanding and connection with the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This years theme is “Heal Country” - and to honour our part in deepening our understanding of this theme, we’re diving into the songs and music of a few wonderful storytellers and artists this week, and sharing our learnings with you.
As part of our ongoing commitment to our role in educating through music, we include the study and learning of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Peoples music as part of our approach to teaching Australian music, songwriting and composition.
We hope you may join us as we explore Songs as powerful sources of connection, history, life experience and communication.
